My main Flare project includes two others in its TOC. When built in Flare V3.1 the master CHM file that was built included all the Index terms from both 'other' projects and these could be seen in its Index panel of the HTML help dialog. A search (done using the Search Tab) found all valid text in all projects.
However, now that I'm using Flare V4 index entries from these 'other' projects are not present in the Index panel and, additionally, no search terms (absolutely none) can be found using the Search Tab's search facility.
Looking at the individual CHM files built for the included projects shows that they do actually contain Index entries, but all search terms cannot be found.
So, my main Flare project is not building the Index entries of other included project into its 'master' CHM file.
I've seen a Flare knowledge base article that suggested that index and search problems with HTML Help may be a MS compiler bug - but I've got CHM files built from Flare 3.1 that view and work fine so perhaps my problem is related to something else?
Do anyone else have the same problem with index entries of included CHM files missing from the Index panel and a non-working search facility?
If so, any suggestions?

Re: Missing Index entries in HTML help panel for included CHMs
Paul,
Just to be thorough, did you try re-registering the ITCC.DLL file anyway? It's possible that something has caused it to become unregistered, and if that happens even if you were able to get previous CHMs to work new ones may not. In any case, re-registering it won't hurt anything, so it's worth a try.
The instructions in case you need them are here:

Re: Missing Index entries in HTML help panel for included CHMs
Many thanks guys, I only had to re-register the ITCC.DLL file again to get a correct main index and fully-working search.
But interestingly my Binary Index option (accessed from the [SkinName] > HtmlHelp > Index button) is not selected for any of my projects, when it implies that one is required to merge CHM files? I guess that's one for Support.

Hi, Paul,
Only the master .chm file needs to have a binary index (and a non-binary TOC). The slaves can have either binary or non-binary indexes and TOCs.
In other words, in a merged help collection, the settings in the master file always override those in the slaves.
