[Solved] Adding Image Editing Software to Image Context Menu

Post by DurtyMat »

Before I reinstalled Flare v4 on my laptop I was able to access SnagIt from the "Open Linked Item With..." image context menu option ... since installing it I can't. Does anyone know how to add image editing software to this option? I tried to find it in the Flare help system and didn't have any luck :'(

thanks for the help :D

Normally Flare's 'open with' functionality rides on the back of Windows. Once you open a file with an application, and Windows 'remembers' the program you used, Flare should be able to do the same.

Have you tried opening the image with snaggit to re-register the application with Windows?

yea, all the time. we use snagit to capture images and i normally touch up some of the pre-existing images in snagit .... thats why i am confused :-/

EDIT: got it to work, turns out SnagIt wasn't on the "open with" window when i right clicked on the image in Win Explorer (something you suggested but I took for granted :-X). Once I opened the image with SnagIt through that it was added to the context menu.

Thanks for the help
