Hi
I want to create a series of movies that are annotated screen shots, not movies.
I set the screen shot as the background bitmap, and I realize that each frame in the movie has to be the same size. This is not an issue, as each movie will be about a screen, and additional windows or sections can fit in the same area.
However, what I'd like to do is put the movie controls, to navigate to the next and previous screens, in the frame but out of the screen. This I cannot seem to do, as the bitmap expands to fill the frame. Am I missing something here?
I don't want to use the built-in controls (toolbar) for two reasons:
1) There's a MadCap logo, absolutely unacceptable under any conditions.
2) The controls are small, and there are too many of them. These are very short, 4-8 screens, and self-standing.
Any advice or suggestions?
Screenshots Only, Can I Change the Frame Size?

I can't help with the icon or the number of controls, but what you can do is paste the background screen shot on a plain background (white, white with a water mark, or any other color or even a gradient). That will appear as a frame around the screen shot. You could also just add on at the bottom where the controls are. That way the controls are not on top of your screen shot background, but in neutral space.

Thanks Ramon, good point! It's more work each time, of course, for each screen shot, but it will do the job.RamonS wrote:I can't help with the icon or the number of controls, but what you can do is paste the background screen shot on a plain background (white, white with a water mark, or any other color or even a gradient). Hi,
The toolbar is a skin that is completely customizable for Flash and Silverlight. The madcap logo is only there to show as an example how one may wish to put a company logo with a link to a !Help| About type dialog. The controls also can be replaced by custom images.
For the other points, RamonS is correct. You can set the desired size of your movie on some blank frames and then do a !Insert | Image to lay the image overtop, then place navigation buttons below the inserted image.
Actually, we are implementing a cool solution for this very issue in the next version of Mimic. If you would like to be a beta tester for it let us know!â€
Hope it helps,
Cheers

I was a beta tester last time, and I'm happy to be one now. What do I have to do?
