Different icon size for expanded and drop down text

Hi all,
this relates to webhelp output running on a XP machine in IE6. Is this a known problem with IE6, maybe? I could not find any information about the icon size. I am using Flare's default icons for expanded and drop down text and the result is just weird and not predictable as you can see in the attached screenshot.

As there is no answer to my question i have submitted a bug report although i am not sure, if this relates to a certain option in IE6. Therefore it would be very helpful to have a list with known issues related to the top most browsers.
I have another one for you: this time, it is the same webhelp but displayed in Firefox 3. As you may recognize, some icons are displayed, and some are not. As this help is properly displayed on other machine, i again assume this is a browser related issue. But i have no clue how to fix it. The load grafics option is checked in FF.
