When publishing MyHtmlHelp, I receive the message:
The target 'MyHtmlHelp' has no valid destinations assigned to it.
Do you want to assign some?
I have tried mutliple different folder locations but Madcap does not seem to like any of them. Has anyone ran into this problem or does anyone know how to resolve it?
Thanks
Barrie

Re: The target 'MyHtmlHelp' has not valid destinations assigned
Do you mean output location or destination location? I can't imagine a reason why you'd want to specify a destination location because HTML Help can't run off a web server. I don't even think it can run off a web server on your computer. I'd check the destination tab on the target and disable (deselect) the MyDestinations destination or whatever it's called.

Output location. The odd thing is that prior to this I had some missing linked source files and Madcap was perfectly happy with the output location. Once I resolved the missing links it was no longer happy with the location.
However, your sugguestion prompted me to try something else . . . in the Publishing tab of the MyHtmlHelp targer I selected 'Publish' and now it's happy again.
Thanks.

Destination and output are not the same thing. Output is where the compiled file goes. Destination is where you publish that file to afterwards (if you use the Publish option).
Publishing is extremely useful, even if you are not publishing to a web server. It allows people to use a help file without preventing anyone from compiling one, all while not requiring you to manually copy-paste.
