How did our HTML Help toolbar icons start looking like this?

Post by Gary Niemen »

Somehow, we have managed to get our HTML Help toolbar icons looking like the image at the front (below) - what we want, of course, is for them to look like the image at the back or the one in the middle. Does anybody know what might have happened to get the icons spread out like this?

Hi, Gary,

The toolbar buttons in the foremost window have wrapped around because their combined width exceeds the width of the help window. This isn't the case with the window at the back because its toolbar buttons have no text labels, and the middle window lacks the two custom buttons and their comparatively wordy labels ("Sungard Front Arena Home" and "Contact Sungard Front Arena").

So, you need to trim the text labels of the custom buttons (perhaps to just "Web" and "Contact"), remove the labels from all buttons (see this article), or increase the width of the help window to accommodate all the buttons in a single row.
