Hi,
Can I put a visible border around areas of an image that have been mapped (in Flare)? I can obviously do it outside of Flare in a graphic app (or through SnagIt).
Thanks,

Re: Image Map Border
Hi,
I don't know of a way of doing this directly from within Flare, but if you have Capture installed, then you can send the image directly to capture from within Flare, and apply the borders you require to the image, and after saving the image will be updated in Flare.
Regards
Adrian

In Flare: Select the image, press CTRL+ALT+B or select Object from the shortcut menu.
In the Media Properties selct Borders & Margins.
There you find the settings you need.

Re: Image Map Border
Thanks to you both.
Docuwil: I think this only applies to the outside border and not any mapped areas I make inside the image. Although there is a <map> css reference that I was hoping would work but it didn't.
Adrian: I have Capture 3 and for the first time had a look around it. We currently use SnagIt 9 (office standard) and they both offer the same stuff. That said, I loved being able to turn the background greyscale and set selected areas to colour which is what I can't get to do with SnagIt. Great stuff.

Re: Image Map Border
The coolest thing about Capture to my mind is that you can link an image to a Flare project so that you can use Flare's variables in your image callouts. So if you change the text in the variable, your images get updated automatically (no need to go back and edit all those callouts... and no more "oops I missed one").
Until next time....
