I am deleting a lot of files from the project and reorganizing. Almost wish at this point I had started a new project from scratch. But... I have moved the files that I don't think I will be using anymore into a directory called "discard", but I have chosen to update the links so incase someone changes their mind and I need to bring those topics back I wouldn't lose the internal links. Maybe wasn't the best plan. I think with this file, I chose to not update the links and now I am getting this error.
I have searched through the alias files and removed the reference to that file. Now I am getting this error.
I can't find anything that looks like this
Thanks again in advance for your help.

I think that's come up before if there was an empty line in the alias file.

Have you looked at the XML code to see about deleted out the line that looks for the alias file?

That's not what you want: you need the alias to be there, you just don't want it to have blank lines. So what you would do instead is open the alias file in a text editor and remove any lines that do not have a complete entry.alaltenburg wrote:Have you looked at the XML code to see about deleted out the line that looks for the alias file?

When you searched through the alias file and removed the reference - exactly how much did you remove? You need to take out the whole line. For example:
<Map Name="examplename" Link="/Content/whatever..." />
When manually editing the alias file, you need to remove the whole line from the <Map... bit to the closing tag "/>". I can repeat your error by just removing the "Content/whatever" part of the line.
