Hi,
I'm using the Flare midnight small skin, (midnight2sm), and cannot get the index entries to display in any other color than screamingly bright royal blue. The color is truly hideous, especially since it's against a dark grey background (I changed the black background to grey.)
I have checked my style sheet, and the index entries are all a nice soft green (my color choice.) However the changes in my style sheet to the index styles simply do not reflect in the Frame on the Skin.
Does anyone know how I can change this royal blue to another color?
Thanks very much,
K nichols
Can't change index color
Re: Can't change index color
I think the main topic stylesheet only controls the colors in the print output (i.e., when using indexProxy). Go to the Skin Editor, click on Styles. There are options for the index links in there -- that's for the index pane of the online output.

Re: Can't change index color
Thank you for the info - I bet you are right on the index in the style sheet only being for the printed output. Unfortunately, I have already tried changing the index text in the skin - none of my attempts worked.
thanks for trying though,

Re: Can't change index color
Strange - I went back to the original version of the skin - before I changed the background color to grey. The original version didn't have the index in bright blue - the index was light teal - which is acceptable. I have no idea how I changed it to blue though - I certainly didn't intend to when I changed the background.
Whatever I accidently did, going back to the original skin - midnight2sm, worked.

Did you delete the output folder before rebuilding? Skin settings tend to be cached by the browsers; deleting the output folder before rebuilding tricks the browser into thinking it's going to a new site and that it needs to load everything from the site instead of from cache.
