MadCap Cross Functionality Issues

I'm having issues with the integration between Flare and Mimic. I've had Flare on my box for about a year, I d'loaded and installed Mimic trial version. I then got the full-blown Mimic version installed AND registered. Now when I go to the Flare Insert > Movie Link, I get an error message saying that my Mimic TRIAL version is no longer valid. What's the deal and how do I fix it?

What version of Mimic and Flare are you using? and are you using a 64 bit version of the OS?

Apprears to be the 32 bit.

sorry, I also meant to post that I'm using Flare 3.1 and Mimic 2.0.11. I installed the trial version of Mimic on my C:\ drive but due to space issues, I uninstalled both Flare and Mimic from my C: drive and onto my D: drive. D is also a local drive on my box.

Just for grins, try installing both to C:\ and see if they work. (Programmers *shouldn't* hard code paths, but sometimes they get lazy....)

Well, I *would* do that, but like I said...my C drive won't hold them. I mean literally, i'd have 10 MB left and that causes Windows all sorts of problems.

You may want to upgrade to Flare v4.1 and see if that corrects the issue, If you have a support contract Madcap should give you a free upgrade.
