Can't disable master pages to use PDF/page layout

Post by beelia »

I'm trying to output to PDF using page layouts.

I have a PDF target (indicated as such on the Basic tab), and when I go to the Printed Output tab, the box to disable master pages is greyed out.

When I compile, I get a message saying "disable master pages".

I have referenced a new TOC in my target, in which I have used only the Chapter Break section (not Section Break, which is not for PDF) to indicate which page layouts to use for each section of the book. I don't use that TOC for anything else.

I have already installed today's PDF patch and restarted Flare 4.2. It hasn't changed anything.

Anyone else have this problem?

Bee,
Its no biggie and can be resolved quite easily.

see the attachments. i write in short bursts.

Set to (default) then only clear the checkbox.

Open the TOC to check that the masterpage link has been cleared in your TOC for the topic.

Bee,
looking at the issue, have you tried creating a new TOC again(a simple one will do for a test), and then setting the pagelayout there. and then building to PDF.

I can't quite replicate the issues you face...but thats what id do if i'd face something like this.
