I only just discovered the possibilities of jquery (an open source javascript framework) for the use in websites.
There are some applications that could also be useful in help files, i.e. sorting tables, zooming images.
I wonder that the search says, jquery has never been mentioned in these forums?
Has anyone ever tried this? And if not, why not?
I will try some jquery-effects in my HTMLHelp-projects and report how it works.
jquery and other javascript frameworks
Re: jquery and other javascript frameworks
I've never heard of it myself, but you should be able to use it, so long as A) the code is supported by most or all browsers and the last two versions of each (e.g., IE6 and IE7, FF2 and FF3), and B) you format the code so that it's XML-compliant, meaning you properly bookend or self-terminate all tags.
