I completed my WebHelp project in Flare 4.2. Can this project be opened in an older version of Flare?

Re: Backwards Compatibility
Technically yes, but the stylesheet from 4.2 will have additional elements in it that earlier versions won't be able to understand, so you may get errors. The output should work though.
Realistically, I wouldn't want to do this on a regular basis, so it's best if writers who regularly collaborate on a project use the same versions.

Yes, you should be able to open the project, but some things don't translate well back to older versions, especially before version 4.0.
For example, I lost a lot of work in a stylesheet, once, because I opened a Flare 4 project in Flare 3 and made a very simple change to the stylesheet in 3. Something about that change wiped out a lot of styles.
I don't do that any more!
Proceed with caution. And backups.
