Really dumb newbie question.

Where is the Help window frame title for the HTML Help output defined? When I build my HTML output, I get HTML Help as the frame title.

However, if there is mismatch between the language of your help file and that of your operating system, the title bar of the help window always contains the words "HTML Help". For example, this would be the case if you were viewing a French help file on an English Windows computer. See this article for more information:

If I generated a translated help file on an English OS and the translated title bar text is defined in the skin, when run on the correct language OS, does the title bar display correctly? Or will it always be titled HTML Help because I generated on a system with a mismatch between the language of the OS and the language of the help file?

Hi, Lisa,

The critical factor isn't really the language of the operating system on which you compile the Help file; it's the language that you set for the Help file in your project, and the language of the operating system on which the file is subsequently viewed. So, for example, you can set the language of the Help project to French, enter a French string for the title bar text, and then compile the Help file on an English system — and the title bar text should still display correctly on a French system, though not on a German or Spanish system.
