Adding an application to Open Linked File with..

On my current project, I can open my images with SnagIT. I am making some adjustments to an older project, and the right click menu item is not available... Open Linked File with...

I forgot how to add an application to that? I would appreciate your help.

Also, what happened to the Code View where you can insert XML, etc?

It's based on the file associations you've made in Windows. So in Windows Explorer, right-click on a file, select Open with..., then select the program to use to open it (click Browse if you don't see the program you want listed). Once you've done that, Flare should pick up on the association and give that program as an option. I can't remember if you needed to shut down Flare and restart it for it to pick up the association, though.

What do you mean? You can turn that view on by clicking the <t> icon in the XML Editor -- that hasn't changed.

Thank you Miss Lisa. That worked. The strange this was, that the other project contatained the selection, just not this one. I opened a few file extensions with snagit...closed and relaunched the older project and now it appears. I am using Vista. How odd.

I have followed your advice but I have no luck with it. I opened my files with the desired program, even set it as default, but Flare 9 still gives me the same options as before. Even if I uninstall the programs from the PC and in the Windows Explorer contextual menu the programs are gone, Flare 9 keeps the same Open with list...
