You can only edit the PDF file properties (meta data) if you have the paid version of Acrobat. Those fields are not read/writable in anything other than Acrobat at the moment.
MadCap Flare/Blaze at this point in time does not let you edit the PDF meta data.

If you have Acrobat Pro (a wonderful little investment, it is) , its simply a matter of viewing the File Properties, and editing the 'metadata', then click Save or CTRL+S. You can set the author name, edit the title, add keywords, specify descriptions, all the fields which are normally locked for everyone else with Acrobat Reader only.


There lots of other cool stuff you can tweak, like redactions, colour separations, spot colours and all that, but that's for another day.

There is hope that future versions of Flare will allow you to set this in the target settings. That would be a really nice enhancement.

Is anyone using PDF Maker for the production tasks (setting security, etc)? I am wondering if I can get away from having to use Acrobat Pro.
