Table's contents is listed in PDF TOC

Post by ccardimon »

Every cell in my table imported from Word is showing up in the table of contents for my PDF.

And every time there is an empty or blank cell in the table, I get dinged by a "_gen_" in the TOC.

Any suggestions on how I can get the table out of the TOC?

Check what tag is applied to the content in those table cells. It sounds like there's a heading tag around the cell contents instead of a paragraph or just the td tag. And the _gen_ shows up, I believe, when there's an empty heading tag (i.e., <h1></h1> with no content between the opening and closing tags).

Copy that, and thanks. I've been fighting the GEN wars with imported legacy content all morning.

I've learned more about that GEN stuff than I ever wanted to know, but this one stumped me.

GOT IT, many thanks!

By the way Lisa, your old tip about killing these using the Internal Text Editor has been PRICELESS.

Thought you should know.

Yeah, I find myself opening topics and the stylesheet file (especially the stylesheet file) in the Internal Text Editor a lot, but I have a background in creating websites so I'm comfortable working in the code and sometimes it's just faster for me to make changes that way than through the Flare GUI. But, boy, I wish Flare had a split code/design window like some web design programs do.

A split code/design window would totally ROCK.
