CSH - How to keep Master Page from effecting skin?

Post by tylerc »

I am adding context sensitive help for the first time and am having trouble with the master page affecting the CSH output which has been assigned a separate skin. Any way of excluding the Master Page effects on selected directories?

Goal is to have CSH appear in small dialog without any master page effects.

Would creating a seperate chm and merge it with the master chm work?
Thanks!

Try this:
  1. Create a new master page (e.g. called CSHMasterPage) that strips out everyrhing out that you don't want (e.g. no breadcrumbs, footer etc)
  2. Create a new class in your stylesheet under "HTML" e.g. called CSH
  3. Locate the "mc-master=page" property (advanced view, under the Unclassified group), and select "CSHMasterPage"
  4. Save the stylesheet
  5. Click View>File List
  6. Select one or more files that are destined for CSH
  7. Hit F4 to access properties
  8. Under "Topic Properties>Topic Style Class" select "CSH" (i.e. the HTML class that references your master-page)
Cheers
