i havent been able to try the relationship tables in the final release of v5, but is it possible to seperate the relationship table output to different sections of a topic. For example if you took the standard RelTbl columns (concept / task / reference) can I display the concept and task above a block of text then the display the reference infomration below that?

Doesn't look like this is possible yet, but I'll put in a feature request for our developers.

Ryan,

With the Thumbnails, is it possible to specify the position within the topic where the top and left borders of the image should be?

I have a lot of images, and love the idea of the thumbnails, but when testing this, when the full size image is displayed it obscures the other text in the topic, which doesn't help the end-user.

Thanks

Not possible at the moment, but I've put this one in to our developers as well.

I don't want to be unreasonable, so how long should I wait for the upgrade email before assuming that it's gone missing?

We have a lot of licences here, I got my first upgrade key 2 days ago, and I'm still waiting for some more. I'm leaving it til the end of the week.

Paul,

Not much help I know, but I recieved the e-mail Monday evening, and I'm just round the corner from you.

I don't know how the e-mails are sequenced, I've been a member from the early days of Flare (having both the software and maintenance plan from V1 onwards), so it would be interesting to know if Dave purchased his licences at the same time?

Regards

Nope, they're all well spread out. The ones that have come were for orders linked to single licences, it's an order linked to a batch of licences that hasn't arrived.

You reckon it got help up on the M1?

Edit: Apologies MadCap, it was a problem at our end.

Well, knowing the roadworks from J25 on the M1, then Sheffield (including calling at Meadowhall for a bit of retail therapy), you never know.

All of the update e-mails were sent out on Monday, so if you haven't received yours yet please check your spam folder/box. Also note that these are sent out to our main point of contact which is often the person for software purchases, not necessarily the software users.

If you're sure you should've received the e-mail and you haven't yet, please contact us through your sales rep or the official technical support site here

Is there any way to have MadCap use just one email address? Once in a while I send emails from my (non-tech writing) work address, but prefer that my personal address is used. I had it corrected several times, but as soon as I use a different one for simple communication it seems to cause changes in MadCap's email system.

I want the opposite! I have a personal copy of MadPak at home, but use the company version of Flare at work. I'd rather keep the emails relating to these products separate.

Well, then how about attaching an email address to a license rather than a person? That would solve both our problems.

There records don't allow them to attach an email to a Key, it goes to one person....

Hi,

I think it would be a really useful to have "Format Painter" functionality incorporated into Flare as a feature. This would save a lot of time for e.g. if you had a lot of bulk content that is repetitive that requires the same formatting. Please add this to the features list, I'm sure I am not the only person who would find this feature useful.

Thank you
Using Flare v9.1.2

Hi, TA08,

These are peer-to-peer support forums, so Madcap may not see requests made here. If you want to submit a feature request, you can do so using the bug-report form (just change the type from bug-report to enhancement request).

Until next time....

I did not find much information on the v5 API or DotNet helpviewer. Is the DotNet helpviewer backwards compatible now? Where can I find more information on the API updates?

Thanks in advance!
