Hi, everyone,
I've just upgraded to Flare 5.
In one of my HTML Help projects, I added a topic toolbar for Previous and Next topic buttons.
I get the following error when I click the buttons in the CHM.
Also, in the skin settings that I'm using for HTML Help, the Topic Toolbar settings are ignored in favor of the WebHelp Toolbar settings. Is that the way it's supposed to work?
Any ideas to fix the script error?
Thanks,
Diana

Re: Next/Previous topic toolbar error and settings question
Some features in the WebHelp Toolbar aren't supported in HTML Help because it (HTML Help) is such an old technology. I remember running into that before on something else. I don't think there's a workaround for it, at least not through Flare, but you could always contact MadCap Support to confirm.

Re: Next/Previous topic toolbar error and settings question
Thanks, Lisa. Flare 5 is supposed to support these, so I'll give support a call to be sure I'm setting it up the right way.

Re: Next/Previous topic toolbar error and settings question
Well, Flare 5 is supposed to, but it may only be for WebHelp and DotNet Help outputs and not HTML Help. But yes, give them a call. I haven't installed v5 yet, but check the Flare help to see if there is any mention of it not working for HTML Help.

Re: Next/Previous topic toolbar error and settings question
In the FlareWhatsNewGuide.pdf for v5, it says:
For HTML Help, these buttons will be available if you add a Web toolbar to the output. Like Web-
Help, you can specify toolbar settings in HTML Help output.
That's really why I tried this. It looks very cool. I have the Next and Previous buttons on one side and a product logo on the other. Too bad it doesn't work.
AFAIK, I set it up the right way. Support is looking at my project to figure out why the script error is happening.
If there's a solution, I'll post it.
