I know about the move up and move down feature to move around sections, but I have a variation of that question.
Is there an easier way to move large groups of documentation (sections that include H3, image, p....ect)? The problem comes when I try to select groups and it seems the computer "skips around" and doesn't just let me select the entire part I want to move. The programmers decided to move around buttons on the screen so I need to reorganize.
Hope this question makes sense.

moving big sections of documentation?

Re: moving big sections of documentation?
I've had to this on quite a few occasions.
Workaround, how about converting the whole section to a div, its a popular practice. Then moving that whole block around to where you want. Then unbind the div again to finish.
It would be nice to have some sort of document outline or topic outline view to help you rearrange content in a topic quickly and painlessly. It is structured authoring and no better need for structured authoring when you can arrange whole sections based on their outlines.
I've submitted a request enhancement for a topic outline view like in Microsoft Word where you can rearrange whole sections quickly based on 'levels'.
If you agree, do submit a request for this. I think it would help writers write better structured topics as well by letting you see the structure of a topic.

If you submit your bug feedback request here, the more likely it'll get fixed or included in a future release

If you're comfortable manually editing HTML you can open the topic in a text editor and cut and paste the content you want to move.
I've done it on a few occasions and find it the quickest way.
