Unless I'm missing something basic, it appears that Flare doesn't have a feature comparable to Word's Track Changes. Is that the case?
If so, I suppose I could put together a Change Bar style and apply it manually for reviews, something like FrameMaker's Change Bar style.
But I'd like to be proven wrong.

Track changes
Re: Track changes
Correct. It's something that would most likely be added to X-Edit, but you could request that it be added to Flare, too, for projects with multiple authors. Either way (X-Edit and/or Flare), submit a feature request to http://www.madcapsoftware.com/bugs/submit.aspx.ksoltys wrote:Unless I'm missing something basic, it appears that Flare doesn't have a feature comparable to Word's Track Changes. A few others have mentioned doing something similar. I'm the only author so I have two conditional codes I apply to topics that don't affect the output -- they just change the color of the box next to the topic in the Content Explorer so that I can tell at a glance the state the topic is in. There's one color for "Topic Finished" and another color for "WIP", and if neither of those colors are shown, then it means I haven't started the topic yet. In that case, I created the topic file so that I could link to it, and later I'll go back and start writing the topic. If I have a paragraph I need to finish or something I need to follow up on, then I'll use the "WIP" color at the paragraph level, too.ksoltys wrote:If so, I suppose I could put together a Change Bar style and apply it manually for reviews, something like FrameMaker's Change Bar style.
