Image in Breadcrumbs Proxy?

Post by mwmartz »

Can anyone tell me how I can add a flush-right image on the same line as the breadcrumbs proxy in my master page?

Basically, we want to add the product logo to the far right of the breadcrumbs proxy, and then the company logo in the bottom left corner of the master page footer, separated from the body text by a partial, centered horizontal line.

Create a DIV class that's set to float-right. In the masterpage, put your cursor just in front of the breadcrumbProxy, insert that custom DIV class, then insert the image inside that DIV. You might have to play with the margin and/or padding values of that custom DIV to get the logo positioned exactly right. Make sure you test in both Firefox and IE, as they aren't consistent on how they position some elements, so you might get it just the way you want in one browser and as close as you can in the other browser.

The logo in the footer you can just place beneath the bodyProxy.

Thanks for this post - it's what I'm trying to do as well.

This may sound like a dumb question, but how do you insert a class in front of the proxy? They're both classes, right?

Well, what you're actually doing is inserting a Div (hitting the Tab key is the quickest way to do that) and applying the Div Class to it. This Div would need to be self-contained (i.e. it's start and end tags are both in front of the proxy's tags in the HTML).
Until next time....
