Flare is trying to tell me something!

Post by iand »

Hi, Flare's message window is trying to tell me about some problems in my stylesheet but it scrolls so quickly that I can't see them. Is there a way to slow it down or are these messages logged anywhere?

Thanks

I don't have Flare running at the moment and I can't remember if there's an option to save the messages, but you can drag the messages pane out of its current location and dock it to the main area of the Flare GUI so that you have more space to read the messages.

You can click the messages tab.
You can click Save Log in the build window.

But if you are referring to the background Messages pane, not the one in the main build window,

if you see something like CSS: Missing linked stylesheet file..

you may not need to worry
because if you have Global Linking or imported stylesheets,

During the build process, Flare deletes the style sheet then copies the imported files into your projects during each build - which results in the temporary error message when flare has deleted but not yet recopied the older copy of the style sheet.
If you submit your bug feedback request here, the more likely it'll get fixed or included in a future release

Thanks Lisa, Forfear. I used Lisa's tip and that worked.
