Index keywords and Concepts fail to translate.

When I export my translated project (Danish to English), the topics have been translated correctly to English, except for the Index Keywords and Concepts, which all still appear in Danish - even though I translated both the Index.liindexmap and Concept.liconceptmap in Lingo.

i know this is odd.

are the projects in any way linked to TFS or some source control. Sometimes when you export its possible, that the files may have been automatically synced back with a server.

Also did you remember to save the files after they were edited. I think the concept keywords don't have to be translated but the index keywords can and should.. remember that you may also have auto-index link keyword indexes.

i don't work with MadCap Lingo exclusively, but these are just my thoughts. Welcome to the forums donpedro.

No, the project is not linked to any source control and I don't use the auto-indexing feature.

Just to verify, I opened the Lingo file, verified that the index and concepts had indeed been translated (and saved and uploaded to the TM), exported the project to Flare, opened it in Flare, but the Concepts and Index are still in Danish.

I just experienced a similar problem after compiling a CHM for a project exported from Lingo, although in my case topics, TOC entries and concept links are all properly translated from English to Russian, EXCEPT FOR THE INDEX entries! They are definitely all translated in the Lingo project. Raised an issue with support, so hopefully they have an answer..

If you highlight the files in the File List and choose Tools > Update Topics, the translations of the index entries should be inserted at the relevant positions.
