Not-declared identifier message

Post by dwag »

Just upgraded from 3.1 to 5. Below is a characteristic error message received after a build. I removed the topic from the Alias file and the header file, saved and built, but the message remained. I then re-added the topic to the Alias file, with the same result:

"Compiler: Alias: Topic identifier 'HR_Audit' not declared in any header file."

I need this topic to be included in the build. Any thoughts?

I don't use alias or header files at all, but I seem to recall someone saying to open the alias file in the Internal Text Editor because something can happen that puts the normal GUI into a bad state or it doesn't display the items correctly or something or either. Don't remember the details, but try that and see if there's anything funky in the alias file.

If that doesn't work, then hopefully someone else has an idea.
