We're getting ready to create PDFs in Flare 5, and I'm wondering about other PDF readers/viewers that can be freely distributed without the 40 MB download and installation required by Adobe for Acrobat Reader 9. Customers could install it themselves--pretty standard.
However, our installers need something lighter, freely distributable, and easy to install/remove. My installation SME told me today he likes Sumatra Reader (from portableapps.com), which is an executable that our installers can take with them to view the PDFs in the field and not leave software installed on a customer's servers. But he's hoping there is something even better. I haven't had time to research it yet.
What else are you all using for PDF viewing?
Thanks,
Diana
Is anyone using PDF viewers other than Acrobat Reader?

I haven't used it personally, but others on this forum have mentioned Foxit (or FoxIt, whatever).

One of my clients distributes PDF-XChange Viewer with their applications. It's from Tracker Software. (It's free, too). I use it sometimes (like when I'm documenting my client's apps!). Very nice little viewer, with lots of markup tools.
