Show/Hide All Link to display/close TOC Content PAge

Post by neelcm »

I have made a flare project. Created Output file. Now pages are separately being connected to forms in the application. I want a link of Show All to show TOC COntent frame when ever required. What is the procedure to do the same? Is there any properties in TOC to display Show ALL link in all the pages

Hi Neelcm,

Welcome to the forums.

From your post I think you have created context sensitive help, launching it from within the application results in a topic relating to the form (screen) showing in the host application. On the topic you would like a link to the TOC.

If that is correct, you can create a masterpage for all your topics with a link to the TOC at the top or bottom. When the topics are compiled, each will have a link inserted for you.

Of course, I might have misunderstood your question (I tend to do that...)

Thanks Steve, But, I think the way you are suggesting, I need to manually insert TOC link in each page.

In Robohelp, a Show/Hide TOC link used to autogenerate. I want that sort of thing in my application too.

Yes, you are true that I have created a Context Sensetive Project wherein a Formlevel pages are getting connected. Now My problem is that when a page is called from one screen, that page should have a toolbar through which I can call Content TOC if required.

If that needs to be done manyally then what code should be written. IF there is an option to set for the same, then what is that Option. I m trying to search but not found any suitable option as of now.

Would be great to get help ASAP.

There is an option in the skin, under the WebHelp Setup tab, to have navigation links automatically added to a topic when the topic is opened via CSH and the skin is set to hide the nav pane on startup. You can choose to have the link added to the top, bottom, or top and bottom of the topics. If you open the full help then you don't see those links -- you only see them if the topic is opened with the nav pane hidden.

Greetings.

The first field on the WebHelp setup screen is Pane Size. I have absolutely no idea what this refers to; all I know is that I can type in any value from 0-5000. But 0-5000 what? Percent? Pixels? Etc.

Please advise, and thanks very much.

That's the width of the "navigation" pane on the left side of the WebHelp output. So if you have some long TOC entries -- or shorter entries and don't want the extra space -- then you can enter a value in that field to widen or narrow that pane in the output.

And the unit of measure is pixels.
