Prev Topic / Next Topic Buttons on Masterpage

Post by DurtyMat »

I was curious how I would go about moving the buttons from their current location on the toolbar to the bottom of my masterpage. I would assume I would need to call the same javascript that the buttons are currently using. I have been trying to mess around with Firebug and I this is what I got when I inspected the onclick command. Any help with this would be great. :D

Code: Select all

Master.AdvanceTopic("toc",moveType,tocPath,href);
return;}}
else{
master.AdvanceTopic("toc",moveType,tocPath,href);}}
function PreviousTopic(e){
AdvanceTopic("previous");}
function NextTopic(e){
AdvanceTopic("next");}
function Toolbar_ItemOnkeyup(e){
var target=null;
if(!e){e=window.event;}
if(e.srcElement){target=e.srcElement;}
else if(e.target){target=e.target;}
if(e.keyCode==13&&target&&target.onclick){
target.onclick();}}

Have you tried inserting the topic toolbar proxy onto the master page? Then you can control what buttons are on the topic toolbar using the skin editor. No need to mess with the JavaScript, when you can use the topic toolbar feature to do exactly that.
