Creating own project template
Creating own project template
I've been working on a base project (no content) that I want to save as a template, but it seems that only files can be templated. Is there a way to do this, or do I have to copy the project each time I want to create a similar project?

Hello,
"Save Project as Template" is to be found in the project ribbon, resp. in project toolstrip. Did you try this?
Kind regards,
Sabine Kamprowski

Thank you, Sabine and Nita. I was expecting to find it in the File->Save menu. (Flare isn't the most intuitive software I've worked with.)

Flare is super non-intuitive at first but after a while you'll begin to understand and appreciate its quirks. Now when I work in anything else, I'm trying to do it Flare's way... (It's a hard first few months though!)Perrorist wrote:(Flare isn't the most intuitive software I've worked with.)

It's taking me longer than expected to get to grips with it, but it certainly is a powerful program.

Think of it as an XML development environment, not a word processorPerrorist wrote:It's taking me longer than expected to get to grips with it, but it certainly is a powerful program.

I'm gradually understanding how it all fits together. I seem to spend more time in the text editor than the XML WYSIWYG, but this is proving helpful.
