Use of multiple sets of Variables and Conditional text

Post by henkjans »

Hello,

Within one project I want to use multiple Targets.
The different Targets each use their own TOC to create a specific PDF manual.
However, each individual Target should use a unique set of variables and a unique set of conditional texts.

For example:
Target 1 > TOC 1 (uses set "Variables 1" and set "Conditional text 1")
Target 2 > TOC 2 (uses set "Variables 2" and set "Conditional text 2")

Does anyone know if this is possible and if so, how?
Thanks,

You need to provide more detail on how you use these condition tags and variables in your content.

Remember you can set variable definitions and conditional text settings at the target level, so you may only need one set of variables and conditions.
For example:
- You could have the variable 'Variables.Product' set to "Product 1" in Target 1, and set to "Product 2" in Target 2.
- You could have the condition 'Conditions.Product1' set to exclude in Target 1, the condition 'Conditions.Product1' set to exclude in Target 2.

Anyway, give some examples of how you use variables and conditions in your topics.

Hello NorthEast,
Thanks for your quick reply.
As usual, if you want to define a question more clearly, the answer will come automatically.
So this time.
As you can see, I managed to create additional sets variables and conditional texts which are only for the INDIGO target and toc.
But thanks aynway.
