If other writers aren't having the same trouble with the same source files, you've got a problem locally. I'd do as Richard suggested and uninstall and reinstall Flare. While you're at it, you may uninstall, then delete all the MadCap registry keys, and then re-install. That way you will have a clea...

jcoria, I looked at the code on the digital river site and they are using CSS to accomplish a sort of mock-framset. In particular, they use the overflow/no-overflow properties to set styles for the body tag. If you are interested, you should open one of their topics in its own window (outside the fr...

Its also a problem if you are trying to do as nsemple is, and creating a branding scheme to be used by all writers on a project. If the color definitions are in the registry and not the project, then you have to do that on each writer's machine--a less effective method, shall we say. :)

I filed a similar bug just yesterday. I encourage you to do the same. My specific problem was I wanted to have a property that Word recognized that prohibits rows from breaking across page breaks.

Seems there could be a lot of improvements with Table handling in Word output.

Glad to hear it is working.

Let us know if you figure out how to resolve the border/scroll bar issues you describe.

Re: wide pop-ups

I don't use pop-ups in my help system, so I can't verify for you. However, the first thing I'd do in your shoes is to log a bug, or contact the help desk (if you are a maintenance subscriber).

Like Ramon, I agree that this is a bug, but agree that the question is \"is it a Flare bug, or is it a Word bug.\"

Regardless, I don't think it is the expected behavior.

I'll keep thinking about a work around. Maybe a CSS guru will know more.

What else are you using on your system while Flare is running? I believe (not positive on this, but this is my memory) that Flare requires 512 MB of memory as a minimum standard. I am using 1 GB of RAM to give my OS some space to run and so I can run other programs as well while I'm running Flare. S...

Most users who complain about speed are usually trying to store files on a network and access them over the network (which is MUCH slower than working locally, especially if you have to do it over a VPN [at least, that is MY experience]). Here is what I do: I use the same version control software as...
